Emerson is a US$21 billion company with significant power generation experience, unsurpassed R&D and international manufacturing resources which are supported by a comprehensive network of offices around the world providing engineering, project management and after-sales support. Emerson produces utility-scale photovoltaic inverters to 1,590 kWp using standard mass-produced inverter modules that are used in both industrial and PV applications. The modules are based on a mature design that is proven to be robust. Emerson can provide as much or as little of the PV inverter system as you need, from a single inverter to a complete solution incorporating string connection boxes, transformer, shelter, medium voltage switch and scada. Emerson is ready for the PV industry growth being geared up to mass-produce standard modules with high availability, the company understands the time pressures associated with PV plant installations; its project management teams work tirelessly to ensure startup deadlines are met. PV operators and financiers alike can be confident in the future, knowing Emerson is a Fortune 500 global manufacturing company, which brings innovative technological solutions to its customers. With 127,700 employees worldwide, 240 manufacturing facilities and a strong balance sheet, Emerson is a truly bankable partner. Emerson inverters are already installed in over 400 MW of large-scale PV power plants around the world, including California¡¯s largest photovoltaic facility.

Utility Scale Grid-Tie Inverters 145 kWp - 1.76 MWp

Emerson SPV systems are a range of transformerless central inverters for PV installations from 145 kWp to 1.59 MWp. Each inverter is constructed using multiple standard 145 kWp or 159 kW modules.

The modules are controlled by Emerson¡¯s unique Intelligent Inverter Management (IIM) system to maximize energy yield by controlling the active and standby status of each inverter module. The active and standby sequence for each module is rotated so that duty is shared and inverter life extended. IIM has other benefits of energy efficiency and increased reliability:

-Modularity allows the active inverter capacity to be continuously scaled to optimize energy efficiency for all conditions.

-The system generates energy in lower light conditions.

-In the event of any inverter module trip, the system automatically reconfigures to continue generating.

-For critical applications, built-in redundancy can be incorporated within the system to maintain maximum output with a small additional investment.

To ensure maximum power is obtained from PV arrays, Emerson¡¯s unique Maximum  Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm is optimized for accuracy for both crystalline and thin-film solar panels. The system is able to adapt rapidly to fast moving weather conditions across a wide temperature range.
