Trina Solar ranked top 2 in worldwide PV industry

Trina Solar has become the top 2 in 2009 among the 26 listed PV companies, according to the latest report PV Sustainable Growth Index 2010 released by PRTM.

The conclusion is reached against four indexes including perceived leadership, market share, profitability and the ability of financing growth.

The report indicates that five companies have maintained sustainable growth. They are, according to the ranking, First Solar, Trina Solar, Suntech, Sunpower and REC.

In 2009 Trina achieved a total net revenue of US$845.1 million, an increase of 1.6% from 2008, and gross profit of US$237.2 million, a jump of 44.2% from 2008, and gross margin of 28.1%, compared to 19.8% in 2008.
