   Summary :

Plastics in Photovoltaics 2013 will take place on September 10-11, 2013 at the Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue in Philadephia, Pennsylvania. The conference program will feature both technical and market presentations from industry speakers covering two days. A cocktail reception will take place at the end of the first day to maximize networking opportunities.

The solar power industry is growing worldwide and photovoltaic modules are contributing to the grid worldwide. PV technology is being refined based on experience and the aim is profitable, quality manufacturing to ensure that the industry is competitive and reliable long-term.

PV cells can be made flexible and built into roofing, wrapped around buildings (BIPV), integrated into devices (like solar panels to power aircon in the automobile industry), and woven into military clothing and equipment to charge batteries for mobile units. Polymers are found in components such as front sheet materials, encapsulants, substrates, back sheet materials, high performance seals, adhesives and concentrating lenses. Plastics offer easy processing and flexibility.

Plastics in Photovoltaics 2013 provides a unique networking and sourcing opportunity for photovoltaic manufacturers, solar power companies, polymer and processing experts, and suppliers to the industry.
