All six: Conergy constructs solar parks number 5 and 6 within 3 months

PowerPlus conquers Italy: Another 1.5 megawatts built with Conergy system technology
Parabita: 1 megawatt with more than 4,600 Conergy PowerPlus modules
Nardo: 500 kilowatts with almost 2,200 Conergy PowerPlus modules
Apulian Conergy Parks reduce CO2 emissions by 3,500 tonnes

Conergy Italy has further success with two more solar parks in Apulia. A total of 7,000 Conergy PowerPlus modules have been installed on Conergy SolarLinea mounting systems in the two parks in Parabita and Nardo. The six Conergy IPG 300K inverters in the three Conergy CIS 540 central inverter stations feed the clean energy produced into the regional grid. The construction of these two parks during the past three months brings the number of solar energy plants constructed by Conergy in Apulia to six – with the twin parks in San Marzano and the two plants at the beach resorts of the BluSerena hotel group in Torre di Canne and Ginosa also making exclusive use of Conergy components.

6 solar parks supply energy to more than 2,100 households in Apulia

The 1-megawatt park in Parabita alone produces 1,400 megawatt hours of clean solar energy per year, supplying 400 households or around 17% of the local inhabitants. At the same time, the park reduces harmful greenhouse gas emissions by 760 tonnes annually. The overall balance of the Apulian Conergy parks is even greener: More than 6,600 megawatt hours of clean energy for more than 2,100 households, and a CO2 saving of approximately 3,500 tonnes a year.

Apulia: a green champion thanks to Conergy

The Conergy parks once again underline the Italian regions leading role in terms of green energy. Just five years ago, Apulia was still bottom of the league when it came to renewable energy in Italy. This was before politicians changed course, however, and the region became the first in Italy to introduce a programme for the development of alternative, environmentally-friendly energies. Today Apulia is the countrys undisputed wind and solar-energy champion.

Conergy Italy Chief Sofia says: "Our PowerPlus module is conquering Italy"

"Our new parks make two things clear", explains Conergy Italy Chief Giuseppe Sofia. "First of all, the parks will provide long-term support to Apulias green development concept in order to preserve the environment. Secondly, our German PowerPlus Premium module is conquering the whole of Italy. And this is not happening by chance. Instead it is the result of our customers massively increased quality awareness.¡°
